Fauna Marin Ultra Bio 50 ml

Ultra Bio from Fauna Marin is a mix of highly active bacteria, specially developed for the UltraLith system. This bacteria mixture prevents monoculture in the filter and promotes the rapid processing of nutrients in the filter.

Dosage

Shake well before use.
When starting Ultra Bio or using it after an exchange of the UltraLith filter medium; add 1 drop per 100 liters and this every day for 2 weeks. After this first phase, add 1 drop per 100 liters every three days, until the next exchange of the UltraLith filter medium.
Add the Ultra Bio either directly into the tank or into the inlet of the zeolite filter.
It is advisable to switch off the skimmer after adding Ultra Bio for 2 to 3 hours.
Ultra Bio is a mix of different nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria populations (Nitrosomas sp., Nitrobacter sp., Nitrospira sp., Paracoccus sp. And Pseudomonas sp.) That have been carefully selected for their ability to convert ammonia into nitrite and nitrate. Then nitrite to nitrate in nitrogen gas.

Advice

In older tanks with high concentrations of nutrients, first reduce the phosphate content with Ultra Phos to values ​​around 0.1 mg / l – 0.05 mg / l. After phosphate reduction, the dose of Ultra Bio is as described above.

Pay attention!

This bacteria mix is ​​very concentrated and you can actually see the bacteria with the naked eye as they float in the solution. The solution has a shelf life of at least 9 months and requires refrigeration.
