Ecotech TIR Lense Kit wide angle

Description

“TIR” stands for Total Internal Reflection. EcoTech designed these lenses to capture more of the Radion LED light and efficiently channel it into your tank – to ensure that the light gets to where your aquascape needs it most.
EcoTech offers two different TIR lens options for the Radion. The standard 80-degree TIR lens is equipped with the Generation 2 Radion XR30w and XR30w Pro models. Our wide angle lens with 120 degrees TIR reduces PAR at depth, but increases the coverage area.

EcoTech Marine’s TIR lenses direct the maximum amount of light possible, allowing you to get the most out of your Radion LED lighting. From aquarium depth to coral spread, no two tanks are the same. With both original and narrow TIR lenses, you have the flexibility to tailor your lighting to the unique needs of your reef.

All Radions are equipped with our original 80-degree TIR lenses – and now our 120-degree wide-angle lenses are available to update your lighting fixtures. Both lenses are backwards compatible and work with all Radion generations.

Do you have an expanse of coral that doesn’t need a strong light? Go wide angle. Deep tank with coral along the bottom? Stick to the original 80 degree lens.

For larger, deeper tanks, it provides a narrow beam that penetrates at greater depth. At 120 degrees, the TIR wide-angle lens is designed to have a generous spread, increasing the foot’s footprint and reducing tank penetration – optimal for smaller or shallower tanks.
