Description
The Spotted Sailfish Doctorfish grows to about 22 cm long in nature, in captivity they stay a lot smaller. Nevertheless, the Gemmatum does need a lot of swimming space, so aquariums above 600 liters are recommended.
Surgeonfish are algae eaters, this has to be in their menu otherwise they will suffer from their intestines and they can no longer digest the food properly and they will eventually die.
These fish are very sensitive to spotting and can also be quite aggressive towards their peers, so it is best to place these animals last in the aquarium, if you would like to place several doctor fish in the aquarium, it is advisable to use these animals at the same time.
