Fauna Marin Balling Salt Carbonate-Mix (kH Buffer / Sodium Bicarbonate)
High purity sodium bicarbonate to keep the carbonate content (KH) in your marine aquarium in perfect balance using the Balling Light / Classic method. Corals and lime algae absorb calcium, magnesium, carbonates and other minerals / trace elements during their growth. For the healthy and stable growth of these organisms, the consumed elements must be compensated. This is possible with various methods, of which the Balling method is one of the best known. Fauna Marin has a complete range of Balling salts to keep the calcium, magnesium and carbonate content in the aquarium stable and perfectly balanced. For the best results, Fauna Marin uses the purest chemicals for its Balling salts. Advantages of Balling compared to a lime reactor? Balling (Light) offers much more stable water values and also has lower start-up costs (with / without dosing pump) than a lime reactor set. In Germany, the Balling method has replaced the use of a lime reactor. An increasing number of aquarists are also using Fauna Marin Balling salts in conjunction with a lime reactor to balance the chemical imbalances that can occur from a lime reactor.
Since the salts are highly hygroscopic (i.e. they absorb moisture well), it is better to prepare the entire mix and only then pour it into smaller vessels. This way you can be sure that the solution you have created always has the same concentration, which also translates into more stability in your water values.
