OCTO Series Regal Recirculating External Protein Skimmer (Regal-INT) is an in-sump protein skimmer with a high quality cast acrylic construction, easy disassembly for maintenance, a precision control valve and a hybrid conical body that helps to naturally stabilize and concentrate the organic rich foam as it rises. Water is recirculated in the skimmer for cleaner water production.
Available in 4 models – Regal 150-INT, Regal 200-INT, Regal 250-INT and Regal 300-INT.
Regal-INT is run by our proprietary controllable VarioS skimmer pump, which is equipped with a pinwheel impeller, a detachable controller, a high quality ceramic shaft and bearing to reduce wear, and the latest variable speed flow technology for refined control, improved performance, energy efficiency and safer operations.
Unlike the vast majority of circulators that use alternating current (AC), our VarioS pump offers a number of important advantages over traditional AC pumps, namely higher energy efficiency, safer operation at a working voltage of 24V and in particular the variable speed control to adjust the ideal mix of air and water flow in the skimmer.
Improved control
With the VarioS controller, users can control flow rates by choosing from five preset speed settings; indicated by five lit LEDs. A 15 or 60 minute input mode can also be turned on or off at the touch of a button.
In addition, a rotating volute allows users to adjust the output orientation horizontally or vertically (up or down) according to their needs.
