Fauna Marin Carb L

Carb L is an activated carbon specially made for permanent and long-term use.

Highly pure vapor activated and pre-washed activated charcoal for efficient removal of yellowness, cloudiness and harmful toxins, essential for maintaining good water quality in any aquarium. Carb L is almost completely phosphate-free and has an extremely high capacity. Carb L is specifically made for permanent and long-term use, but must be replaced every 30 days. Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums, cleans the water without negative side effects.

Continuous aquarium water treatment with Carb L (super pure activated carbon in pellets) plays a fundamental role in the Zeo-Light system. Carb L is essential for the preservation of sensitive SPS and LPS corals and is therefore used permanently. The activated carbon treatment ensures crystal clear water – phenols, proteins, dyes, odor and coral and algae toxins are effectively removed.

Dosage

1 L (500 g) per 1000 L (260 US gal lqd) aquarium water when used in a flow-through filter unit (flow rate max. 200 L ((52 US gal lqd) / h).
2 L (approx. 1000 g) per 1000 L (260 US gal lqd) of aquarium water when placed in a filter bag.

Change interval

After 4 weeks, replace the activated carbon in an alternate zeolite exchange routine.

Preparation

Prepare new activated carbon after the following procedure:

One day prior to the carbon replacement, pour hot water (tab water) over the carbon and then give the carbon a 24 hour bath.
