The Deltec Skimmer 600ix has a newly developed emergency overflow. This prevents the skimmer from “boiling over” when the water level in the skimmer rises. This can happen, for example, because the feed pump stops and the water level in the sump rises. In addition, there may be problems with the air supply, e.g. due to a kink in the silicone hose. This allows the skimmer to “boil over” and the water rises so high that it is forced into the foam pot and the foam waste is flushed back into the sump. This leads to an extreme load on water. This is prevented by the emergency overflow.
Emergency overflow pipe and regulator pipe
The water level in the Deltec Skimmer 600ix can be read from the emergency overflow line. In addition, the minimum and maximum markings help to optimize the water level. The ability to swap the emergency overflow line with the regulator tube allows the user to decide how the lines are arranged.

The Deltec Skimmer 600ix is equipped with the low-consumption and high performance Deltec pump DCS 400. With a power consumption of only 9 Watt, it generates an air supply of 450 liters.
