The Nyos Quantum 300 is equipped with a new hybrid wheel. Built with superlight materials, this precision-crafted impeller combines the advantages of a needle wheel and a trellis wheel.
The hybrid wheel has the characteristic that it has a grid-shaped base where many very narrow needles are mounted. This structure ensures that extremely fine micro-air bubbles are generated. The greatly reduced weight and high precision lead to less maintenance and at the same time low energy consumption.

The hybrid wheel needs a pump chamber that is specially adapted to it. That is why a Clear-View Reactor was developed for the Nyos Quantum 300. The Clear View Reactor is a transparent, performance optimized, large volume reaction chamber in which the water-air mixture is generated.

In combination with the hybrid wheel and the modified venturi nozzle, it produces an extreme air performance with an optimal air-water ratio.

Extreme air performance and the best bubbles are one thing. To achieve optimal skimming, the bubbles that are generated must also remain in contact with the water for as long as possible. That is why an addition to the normal bubble plate, the saw-blade-shaped Twister, has been developed for the Nyos Quantum 300. This gives the bubbles an extra spin and whirls them further in a vortex. This significantly increases the contact time of the air bubbles in the water column.

Water doesn’t like corners. That is why we have developed a flow-optimized, protected double S-shape. In this so-called Sinus design, the air bubbles can arise unhindered and completely free, ergonomic so to speak, without the formation of poorly flowing zones at disturbing corners.

The Nyos Quantum 300 can be adapted to all aquarium conditions: the amount of water and the amount of air can be adjusted separately and independently of each other. An approximate adjustment of the water level is achieved by means of the water adjusting tube, while the high precision micro adjustment screw, which is also included, allows additional fine tuning of the water level.

A Nyos Quantum 300 intentionally does not use externally mounted, bulky pumps. The skimmer can be completely disassembled.
